CURRENT ISSUE

Vol 18 No 8

On sale now!

  • It's our Showcase Special, and we have a range of inspiring quilts from stitchers Australia-wide!
  • It will be hard not to fall in love with the stunning projects from Chris Jurd, Frances Mintrom and Sandy Caller, just to name a few!
  • Our Helping Hands story looks at how a school principal in rural NSW is getting students involved in patchwork.

Sandy Caller created this sweet quilt for a baby featuring a novelty print that would suit either a girl or a boy. Choose a suitable print, then pick coordinating fabrics to complement it.

This relatively easy machine-pieced lap quilt by Jan Stroud would be suitable for any age or gender. Just leave off the appliqué for a male; use pastel shades for a new baby or bright colours fro an older child; and if it's for a special lady... use her favourite hues!

Frances Mintrom’s new grandson lives in the USA with his parents, so she designed his quilt complete with flying foxes in the mango tree and geckos racing around the border, to give him a piece of his mother’s history.

Ruth Buchanan used Saffron Craig’s Australian designed prints from the New Fields range to make her summery, fresh looking quilt.

.

All this, plus product reviews, new fabrics to add to your stash, and much more in the current issue of Australian Patchwork & Quilting. Vol 18 No 8 is on sale now!
